We are food passionate sisters with a history operating a family run Italian grocery store. We were raised in a family that loved good food, cooking and entertaining. We understand that value, quality, and fresh products are the key elements to meeting our customer’s expectations. Our goal is to provide delicious food products, superior customer service, a reliable delivery schedule that offers groceries from your favorite shopping stores. Our service gives our customers more time with family, friends and doing what they love.

Lisa Cain | Co-Founder/Owner
Lisa is Bear Essentials Lake Tahoe co-founder along with her sister, Teresa Passante. At Bear Essentials Lake Tahoe, Lisa embodies a passion for impeccable quality in food, wine, and product presentation. She has built a values-based company making sure every employee understands that to work at Bear Essentials Lake Tahoe means that you will embrace teamwork, ownership, and passion. Lisa is a native of California and an alumnus of California State University, Long Beach. With a primary residence in Southern California, she is active in local community organizations that advocate and empower women and girls. Having traveled the globe extensively, Lisa finds Lake Tahoe one of the world’s beautiful places and never takes it’s beauty for granted whether visiting in summer or winter.

Teresa Passante | Co-Founder/Owner
As the co-founder and owner of Bear Essentials Lake Tahoe with her sister Lisa Cain, Teresa has been the key operational leader within the company ensuring all groceries are sourced to the highest quality standard, meal kits, platters and gourmet baskets are beautiful and made to custom specifications. Her input and great taste to signature design elements and production comes from her passion for entertaining. She is a driving force behind the culture of Bear Essentials Lake Tahoe with a continual effort to ensure that the business remains a clean and safe environment. She holds a Degree from California State University Fullerton. A Californian native, Teresa lived in Maui, Hawaii for 25 years. Now a full-time resident of Stateline, Nevada, she spends her free time supporting local animal shelters and rescues.
