How We Operate 

Grocery Shopping and Cost 

Bear Essentials Lake Tahoe is a personal shopper and delivery service utilizing all neighborhood and valley markets and shops. We do not mark-up your groceries and strives to find the best value for our customers. We use all store discount cards when applicable and pass the savings to you. We are happy to share the actual store receipts with you.

 

Deposit 

At checkout, Bear Essentials Lake Tahoe will place a $20.00 authorization on your credit card to ‘lock in’ your order and get Bear Essentials Lake Tahoe to work arranging your grocery shopping and delivery. Once order has been completed Bear Essentials Lake Tahoe will remove the authorization and replace with the full charge.

 

Delivery Area 

We deliver from Camp Richardson to Cave Rock covering all of South Lake Tahoe region. We also deliver to the Carson Valley area, (Carson City, Genoa, Minden, and Gardnerville) on specific days. Please contact us to arrange.

Gratuity 

Our clients have absolutely no obligation to tip whatsoever, but if you feel the service you received was exemplary and would like to show your appreciation, our hard-working employees are most grateful!

Pricing 

We add a 35% fee to the grocery list and the meal kits total, for shopping, delivery, and placing in your rental property prior to arrival. The minimum Service Fee is $75.00. You will be charged either 35% or $75, whichever is greater, for our Service Fee. If you cancel your order at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled delivery time, we will gladly refund your deposit to your original form of payment.

Same Day and Holiday Delivery 

An additional fee of $30.00 is applicable for same day and holiday delivery and will be charged upon ordering.

We are open and available to deliver on the following holidays: New Years Eve, New Year Day, Easter Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Cancellation

Please give 24 hour notice for order cancellation in order to receive a full refund. Orders canceled within 24 hours of delivery day are subject to loss of $100.00 fee. If canceled after shopping has been completed, your order may be subject to a fee if groceries are not able to be returned.

Substitution

We will do our best to accommodate all orders as requested based on availability. Should a specific brand or item not be available Bear Essential Lake Tahoe reserves the right to substitute to best available option unless otherwise designated upon ordering.
